'Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun' Anime Gets 4th Season (Updated)

The popular anime Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun (also known as Mairimashita! Iruma-kun) has been confirmed for a fourth season, marking a significant milestone in the series' journey. This announcement was made during a special event called the "Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun Anime Special Event Devil's Party!" held on Sunday, coinciding with the anime’s fifth anniversary.

The news was shared through a video on the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the anime, and a teaser visual for the new season was also revealed. The fourth season will be streamed by Crunchyroll in several regions, including North America, Europe, and India, as it airs.

The anime first premiered in October 2019, on NHK Educational, with 23 episodes in its first season. It quickly gained a global audience, thanks to Crunchyroll, which streamed the series as it aired in Japan and also offered an English dub. The second season debuted in April 2021, continuing the adventures of Iruma and his friends. Similarly, the third season premiered in October 2022 and was also streamed by Crunchyroll with an English dub.

The story of Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun revolves around a 14-year-old boy named Iruma Suzuki. Iruma is a kind-hearted boy who is sold by his selfish parents to a demon, but instead of being treated cruelly, the demon he is sold to, named Sullivan, is kind and dotes on him like a grandfather. Sullivan, who has no family of his own, sends Iruma to a demon school where he must navigate the dangerous and often bizarre world of demons, all while keeping his human identity a secret from his classmates.

The anime is based on the manga Mairimashita! Iruma-kun, written and illustrated by Osamu Nishi. The manga was first published in March 2017 in Weekly Shōnen Champion by Akita Shoten. The series has since become quite popular, and its blend of humor, fantasy, and heartwarming moments has won it many fans.
