Viral Hit Anime Debuts in April and Releases Promo Video
The Fuji TV Anime Lineup Press Conference 2024 revealed exciting news for fans of the popular Viral Hit webtoon series by Taejun Pak and Jung Hyun Kim. The television anime adaptation, titled Kenka Dokugaku in Japanese, is set to premiere on April 10. A new promo video showcased the opening theme song "Wild Boy" by MA55IVE THE RAMPAGE and the ending theme song "Viral Hack" by Crab Kani Club.
The anime will air on Fuji TV's Ultra+ programming block and will be simulcasted on Crunchyroll for viewers worldwide. The story follows high school student Hobin Yu, who unexpectedly becomes a star of a NewTube channel focused on fighting after receiving guidance from a mysterious source. With surprising strength, he starts defeating stronger opponents and earning substantial money.

The main characters include Kota Shimura voiced by Satoshi Niwa, Kanegon voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto, Aki Yashio voiced by Fairouz Ai, Kaho Asamiya voiced by Yui Ishikawa, Hamaken voiced by Shunsuke Takeuchi, Reo Shinjo voiced by Kaito Ishikawa, Rumi Meguro voiced by Yoshino Aoyama, Tatsuya Ōgi voiced by Yūichi Nakamura, and TOU-KEI voiced by Tomokazu Sugita.
Masakazu Hishida directs the anime, with Toshiya Ono overseeing the scripts, Satomi Miyazaki designing the characters, and Yutaka Yamada composing the music. Slow Curve is producing the series.
The webtoon has gained popularity since its launch in Korea in November 2019, followed by an English release in October 2020. As of March 5, it has published 207 chapters. In Japan, it's available on the LINE Manga app.
