Tougen Anki Anime Drops Action-Packed New Trailer, Key Visual & Cast Reveal!
The upcoming supernatural shonen anime Tougen Anki has just released a brand-new trailer, key visual, and several new cast announcements, ramping up excitement for its debut on July 11 in Japan.
New Trailer & Key Visual Revealed
The third official trailer gives fans another intense look at the series, showcasing action-packed scenes, vivid animation, and glimpses of the main character’s blood-based powers. A new key visual also accompanied the trailer, featuring the main cast in dramatic poses, backed by a traditional Japanese sliding door artwork that depicts Momotaro slaying an Oni. The visual perfectly reflects the clash of ancient folklore and modern supernatural action.

The anime is based on the manga Tougen Anki by Yura Urushibara, serialized in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion. The English version, titled Tougen Anki: Legend of the Cursed Blood, is published by Yen Press.
Story Summary
The world of Tougen Anki is split between two ancient bloodlines: Oni (demons) and Momotaro (demon slayers). These factions have clashed for centuries.
The story follows Shiki Ichinose, a boy who learns of his hidden Oni heritage after being attacked by Momotaro agents. Now aware of the cursed blood flowing in him, Shiki embarks on a journey to unlock his true powers and face the centuries-old conflict head-on.
Tougen Anki promises intense action, folklore-inspired powers, and a story of self-discovery when it hits screens this July.
