The Shojo Manga “Snow White with Red Hair” Resumes in July

The well-known Shojo manga which has been on hiatus since June 2023 finally continues in July. The news has been confirmed by the manga’s creator Sorata Akiduki that it’s returning in Hakusensha’s LaLa magazine starting from the next issue on July 24th. 

Story Overview

The story of Snow White With Red Hair revolves around Shirayuki, known for her striking red hair. She flees as she gets pursued by a prince who wishes to keep her by his side. Finding refuge in a neighborhood Kingdom’s woods, Shirayuki forms an unexpected bond with the prince which is the very start of their romance followed by adventure and a tale of love. 

History of Manga

Originally Snow White with Red Hair was serialized in LaLaDX in 2006 and later it moved to LaLA in 2011. It has seen 26 volumes as of July 2023 and Viz Media has published the English version with the 26th volume released on June 4. 

The manga has inspired two TV anime seasons and an original DVD bundled with the fifth volume. FUNIMATION streamed the series with subtitles during the 2015-2016 broadcast and then later released it on Blu-Ray and DVD with an English dub.
