Nintendo revealed on Wednesday that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, a Nintendo Switch game, achieved extraordinary success. Three days within of its release on May 12, the game sold over 10 million copies worldwide. This remarkable feat establishes it as the fastest-selling game in the entire history of The Legend of Zelda series. The game enjoyed immense popularity in Japan, where it sold 2.24 million units, and in the Americas, it reached a staggering four million units. Notably, Nintendo highlights that Tears of the Kingdom has become the fastest-selling game on the Switch platform and the entire Nintendo game library in the region.

The Legend of Zelda™: Tears of the Kingdom grants players the freedom to forge their own path in a world that thrives on their creativity. The game, launched exclusively for the Switch on May 12, offers players an expansive and captivating adventure throughout the land and skies of Hyrule. Tears of the Kingdom introduces various exciting features. Players can traverse to sky islands through multiple means, while new abilities such as Recall allow them to rewind an object's movement.
