Square Enix Celebrates Dragon Quest 25th Anniversary With A New Game

The Dragon Quest publisher will produce a brand new game to celebrate 25 years of the game series.

Square Enix announced that they are working on a new game within the Dragon Quest Monsters spinoff series to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise. The game is being developed specifically for the Nintendo Switch platform. Additionally, the company plans to stream a video in honor of the anniversary.

The original Dragon Quest Monsters game was launched in 1998, and it was later released in English as Dragon Warrior Monsters in 2000.

The two most recent games in the series are Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland SP, which became available for smartphones in 2018, and Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland Retro, released for both the Switch and smartphones in 2019.
