Solo Leveling Season 3: News, Rumors & What’s Next?
If you’ve just finished watching Season 2 of Solo Leveling, you’re probably wondering, Will there be a Season 3? While the anime’s popularity has soared worldwide, an official confirmation for a third season hasn’t arrived just yet. But don’t worry—there’s still plenty to be hopeful about.
Season 1 of Solo Leveling dropped in January 2024, and fans were thrilled when Season 2 followed just a year later in January 2025. Even before that, we got a special compilation film in late 2024 titled Solo Leveling: ReAwakening. However, since the Season 2 finale aired on March 30, 2025, there’s been no official announcement about Season 3, at least, not yet.
Still, there’s reason to believe it’s coming.
What does Crunchyroll say about Solo Leveling Season 3?
Crunchyroll's Head of Theatrical & Distribution, Mitchel Berger, hinted at future content in a recent interview. “We just concluded Season 2, which did really well for us, so I’m sure there will be more content in the future,” he said. While this isn’t a formal confirmation, it’s a pretty strong clue that Season 3 is in the works.
Crunchyroll President Rahul Purini echoed this optimism, saying, “We hope so,” when asked about a third season. He explained that the creators are currently juggling several anime projects and need the right time to begin production.
Even the show’s producers, Sota Furuhashi and Atsushi Kaneko, joined a Reddit Q&A to thank fans and ask for support. “If we’re going to make a Season 3, it’s going to take all the support and energy from the fans,” they said—likening it to the famous Spirit Bomb from Dragon Ball. In other words, if fans keep showing their love, there’s a much better chance we’ll get another season.
So, when could we see Season 3?
It might be a long wait. With each episode taking up to 10–12 months to complete, and the director Nakashige Shunsuke possibly tied up with other projects, experts predict a release window between late 2026 and early 2028. That might seem far off, but high-quality animation takes time, and A-1 Pictures doesn’t cut corners.
In the meantime, keep sharing your love for the series online. Whether it’s fan art, tweets, or just rewatching episodes, your support can make a big difference.
For now, Sung Jinwoo’s journey may be on pause, but not for long.
