Sk8 the Infinity OVA Drops Stunning New Video Featuring Its Theme Song!
The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Sk8 the Infinity shared a video showcasing its upcoming original video anime (OVA), Sk8 the Infinity Extra Part. This video revealed and previewed the theme song titled "SKATERS' QUEST," performed by the lead voice actors Tasuku Hatanaka (Reki) and Chiaki Kobayashi (Langa).
Early Screening and Blu-ray Release Dates
Fans in Japan can catch an early theatrical screening of the OVA starting January 24, 2024, across 10 selected theaters. These screenings will run for a limited time only and will feature additional content:
A special compilation video summarizing the first season.
A behind-the-scenes cast video.
In total, the theatrical experience will last 60 minutes, though the OVA itself is 25 minutes long. If you miss the screenings, the OVA will be released on Blu-ray Disc on March 19, 2024.

What is Sk8 the Infinity About?
Sk8 the Infinity follows Reki, a high schooler passionate about skateboarding, who discovers "S"—an underground, no-rules skateboarding race held in an abandoned mine. Reki meets Langa, a Canadian transfer student with no skateboarding experience, and the two dive into the dangerous yet thrilling world of competitive skateboarding. The anime features colorful characters, from dirty racers to AI competitors, creating an intense and emotional "youth skateboarding battle."
The anime originally aired in January 2021 and streamed on platforms like Funimation, which also released an English dub. Following the success of the first season, a second season is now in production.
