Sakamoto Days is Coming to Netflix in 2024
License Global recently conducted an interview with Josh Simon, Netflix's vice president, on May 1. In this interview, Simon revealed that a "Sakamoto Days" project is slated for release on Netflix in 2024. The nature of the project—whether it will be an animated series or a live-action adaptation—has not been clarified. It is also unclear if this project will be directly related to Yuuto Suzuki's manga of the same name. Additionally, the interview listed "One Piece (Season 2)" as part of Netflix's "2025 and Beyond" releases.
Yuuto Suzuki's "Sakamoto Days" manga began serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in November 2020, and Shueisha released the 16th compiled volume on April 4. Prior to the manga, Suzuki published a one-shot titled "Sakamoto" in Jump Giga in December 2019.
