Re:ZERO Returns! Season 4 Confirms Cast & 2026 Premiere
Kadokawa has officially confirmed that Season 4 of the Re: ZERO will premiere in 2026, and we’re getting fresh updates on what’s to come.
New Character & Cast Announcement
During an announcement on Saturday, Kadokawa introduced a brand-new character: Shaula, who will be voiced by the talented Fairouz Ai (known for roles in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean and Chainsaw Man). Shaula appears in the newly released second teaser visual, giving us a glimpse of the powerful and mysterious presence she’ll bring to the story.
That’s not all — the anime's upcoming 66th episode has also revealed another new character, Rui, voiced by Konomi Kohara (Kaguya-sama: Love is War’s Chika Fujiwara). These new additions are sure to shake things up in Subaru’s already unpredictable journey.
Fans will be happy to know that many of the key creative minds behind the previous seasons are returning for Season 4. Here's the core team:
Director: Masahiro Shinohara
Series Composition: Masahiro Yokotani
Character Design: Haruka Sagawa
Music: Kenichiro Suehiro
Studio: WHITE FOX
From art direction to monster and prop design, the production is staying in familiar hands, meaning fans can expect the same quality and emotional intensity that made Re: ZERO a hit.
A Quick Recap of the Series So Far
Re: ZERO first aired in 2016 with a gripping story about Subaru Natsuki, a boy who gets transported to another world where he can’t die — or rather, he dies and comes back again and again. The anime has since had two full seasons, OVAs like Memory Snow and Frozen Bond, and a special Director’s Cut version of Season 1.
The third season, which started airing in 2023, was split into two arcs: Attack Arc and Counterattack Arc, with eight episodes each. It even had special theater screenings in Japan.
With new faces joining the battle and the original team returning, Season 4 promises more heartbreak, action, and mind-bending twists. While we’ll have to wait until 2026, the wait already feels worth it.
