Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 4 Premieres July 1st With New 'Date' Visual!
Fans of Rent-A-Girlfriend can get excited because Season 4 is just around the corner! The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the anime recently announced that the fourth season will begin streaming early in Japan on July 1, 2025. It will be available on DMM TV and d Anime Store at 10:00 p.m. JST.
Along with the streaming date, the staff also shared a new “date” visual that features Mini Yaemori, one of the popular characters from the series. This is the fifth visual released as part of their promotion for the new season.
The television broadcast of Rent-A-Girlfriend Season 4 will start a few days later. It will air on July 4 at 26:23 (which is actually 2:23 a.m. on July 5) on Japan’s "Animeism" programming block across the MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS channels. This season will run for two cours (basically two separate blocks of episodes), but there will be a break between the two halves. International fans will be happy to know that Crunchyroll will continue streaming the new season as it airs.
The main voice cast from previous seasons is returning:
Shun Horie as Kazuya Kinoshita
Sora Amamiya as Chizuru Mizuhara
Aoi Yūki as Mami Nanami
Nao Tōyama as Ruka Sarashina
Rie Takahashi as Sumi Sakurasawa
Yū Serizawa as Mini Yaemori
The production studio TMS Entertainment is also returning. However, there’s a change in directors. Kazuomi Koga, who directed the first two seasons, will return to lead Season 4, replacing Shin’ya Une, who directed Season 3.
As for the music, fans can look forward to new theme songs. ClariS, now a trio, will perform the opening theme song "Umitsuki," while Regal Lily will perform the ending theme "Boku no Vega" (which means My Vega).
This season will cover the much-anticipated "Hawaiians arc" from the manga.
Rent-A-Girlfriend originally premiered its first season in July 2020. The second season aired in 2022, and the third season followed in 2023. Crunchyroll streamed all previous seasons worldwide (except in Asia), and will do so again for Season 4.
The story centers on Kazuya Kinoshita, a college student who rents a girlfriend, Chizuru Mizuhara, after a bad breakup. What starts as a fake relationship soon turns into a complicated romance filled with comedy, drama, and plenty of emotional moments.
With lots of playful moments, twists, and turns, are you excited for the new Rent a Girlfriend season?
