Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter Anime Premieres July 5 – New Character Video Released!
The upcoming fantasy anime Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter has officially revealed its premiere date—July 5! Fans got a fresh peek into the series on Sunday when the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account released a character video featuring the male lead Allen, voiced by Yūto Uemura. And that’s just the beginning—new character videos will drop every Saturday and Sunday throughout June, so fans can look forward to weekly updates.
Based on the light novel series written by Riku Nanano and illustrated by cura, the anime is being animated by Studio Blanc and directed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama (Vampire Dormitory). The story centers on Allen, a young sorcerer who fails to land his dream job at the royal court. Broke and desperate, he takes a job as a tutor for Tina, the daughter of a powerful duke. Tina is smart but struggles with magic—a serious issue since the Royal Academy only accepts students with magical ability. Can Allen help her unlock her potential and uncover the reason behind her mysterious magical block?

Maeshima and Okasaki will also sing the anime’s theme songs. Maeshima performs the opening track "Wish for you", while Okasaki sings the ending theme "Shōjo no Susume" (A Girl’s Advice).
The series' production team includes several well-known names like Megumi Shimizu (My Next Life as a Villainess) handles the script, Akiko Toyoda (Girlfriend, Girlfriend) is in charge of character design, and Kei Haneoka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) is composing the music.
The light novel is officially being released in English by J-Novel Club, and a manga adaptation by Tamura Mutō is also ongoing.
