Oshi no Ko Creators Hints at Its 'Controversial' Final Arc!
Oshi no Ko has become one of the most talked-about anime and manga series, known for its shocking twists and emotional moments. Since its first episode, the series has gained a huge following, and the creators, Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari continue to surprise fans with every chapter. As the manga gets closer to its final arc, the creators have started to reveal what fans can expect from the ending.
What's the Final Arc of Oshi no Ko Planning?
In a recent interview with Da Vinci Magazine, Akasaka and Yokoyari opened up about their plans for the future of Oshi no Ko. Akasaka, the writer, shared that the final arc is titled "Toward the Stars and Dreams," and that they are a bit nervous about whether they’re successfully capturing the theme of that title in the story. He compared it to his previous work, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, but noted that Oshi no Ko will be different. Unlike Kaguya-sama, where each character got a proper conclusion, Akasaka explained that this time, he isn't planning to give every character an individual ending. Instead, the focus will be on wrapping up the main plot and resolving key storylines.
Yokoyari, the artist of the manga, expressed full support for Akasaka's decisions. She encouraged him to take his time and make sure he tells the story without regrets, showing that the duo is committed to delivering the best possible ending for the series.
How Will Oshi no Ko End?
The final arc officially began with chapter 153 of the manga. Since then, the plot has been filled with intense moments, including murder attempts and big reveals about the characters' true identities. However, Akasaka's statement about not giving every character a proper send-off has caused some debate among fans. While some appreciate the focus on the main characters, Ruby and Aqua, others are worried that supporting characters like Kana might not get the endings they deserve.
The creators have not yet confirmed when the manga will officially end, but they are working hard to complete the story. For fans keeping up with the English version, Shueisha is releasing the chapters, making it easy to follow along. Additionally, season two of the Oshi no Ko anime is still airing on HIDIVE, giving fans more to look forward to as the fall season approaches.
