Oshi No Ko Anime Coming Back in 2024 With Its 2nd Season

It’s been officially announced that Oshi No Ko’s second season will be coming back in 2024 and it’s going to be more than interesting. The Ichigo Production Fan Festival 2023 event gave fans a sneak peek into the second season of Oshi No Ko, they also revealed a teaser visual that has got fans anticipating.

The storyline follows Gorou, a gynecologist and avid idol fan, whose world is shaken when his favorite star, Ai, takes an unexpected hiatus. Little does Gorou know that this turn of events will lead to an extraordinary connection with Ai, defying all common sense. The manga, known for its outrageous plot and the unique blend of Aka Akasaka's storytelling and Mengo Yokoyari's art, has garnered over 3 million copies in circulation.
The Oshi No Ko manga was launched in 2020, in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine and its hype all around the world is no joke! It got many awards and even got first place in the seventh “Next Manga Awards” and the Best General Manga category in the 46th annual Kodansha Manga Awards.
HIDIVE, the popular streaming service, made a significant announcement at Anime Expo 2023, confirming that it will be streaming the highly-anticipated second season of Oshi no Ko. The first season was kicked off on April 12 with a 90-minute premiere episode, and it made waves on HIDIVE becoming the #1 series launch in the streamer’s history.
Directed by Daisuke Hiramaki and Chao Nekotomi, with Jin Tanaka handling the series scripts, the first season received much love. The characters designed by Kanna Hirayama, brought to life the manga created by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari.
