One Piece Rejects AI Animation to Preserve Classic Style!
Recently, a social media page called @pewpiece shared some important news about the anime One Piece. There were concerns among fans that One Piece might start using AI (artificial intelligence) in its animation, especially after Toei Animation (the studio behind the anime) announced it was investing in AI technology.
But according to @pewpiece, Toei Animation has confirmed that One Piece will not change its animation process. It will continue using the same traditional, hand-drawn animation style that fans love. So, there's no need to worry—the quality and style of the episodes will stay the same.
The concern started because Toei Animation is working with other companies, like Kodansha and Japanese banks, to support a company called Preferred Networks (PFN), which is developing powerful AI tools. This made people think Toei might start using AI in all their shows.
Some animators from One Piece were even surprised and unsure about what this meant. However, Toei has not said they’ll use AI to make One Piece. One of Toei’s senior directors said that using AI could be helpful in the future, but for now, there are no plans to change how One Piece is made.
In short, One Piece will not use AI in its upcoming episodes, and the animation will stay hand-drawn, just the way fans like it.
