Oblivion Battery Baseball Premieres April 9: Check Out Promo Videos & Theme Songs!
Kadokawa recently unveiled two exciting promotional videos for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Eko Mikawa's popular baseball manga, "Oblivion Battery" (Bōkyaku Battery). The first video introduces the opening theme song "Lilac" by Mrs. Green Apple and announces the anime's eagerly anticipated premiere on April 9.

In addition, the second video gives viewers a glimpse of Macaroni Enpitsu's ending theme song, titled "Wasurena Uta."
Fans can catch the premiere of "Oblivion Battery" on April 9 at 24:00 JST on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido, and TV Q Kyuushuu. For those who miss the initial airing, the anime will also be available on AT-X starting April 12. Furthermore, Japanese audiences can stream the series on Amazon Prime Video.
The anime's production team has also released downloadable mini character illustrations featuring all nine characters from the series.
Moreover, "Oblivion Battery" is collaborating with six Pacific League Pro-Baseball teams, offering fans special events and collaboration merchandise items.

Directed by Eijuu Takashima, the anime boasts impressive talent in its production team, including Makoto Nakazono as the director at MAPPA, Michiko Yokote handling series scripts, and Takeshi Iida serving as assistant director. Notable staff members also include action animation directors Junpei Tatenaka and Masahiro Tokumaru, art director Yuki Funagakure, and music composers Tomoki Kikuya and Hiroko Yamasaki.
"Bōkyaku Battery" originally debuted on the Shonen Jump+ website in April 2018, with Shueisha publishing its 17th volume in January. Prior to the upcoming TV anime, the manga inspired an event anime adaptation by MAPPA in October 2020, as part of the "Jump Special Anime Festa 2020," where Mamoru Miyano reprised his role as Kei.
