NEW Visual Revealed for 'Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus' TV Anime!
The beloved Rascal Does Not Dream anime series is back with a brand-new arc! Titled Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus, this upcoming TV anime has just revealed a new visual and several exciting updates. The series will officially premiere in Japan on July 5, 2025, with CloverWorks returning as the animation studio.
A New Arc Begins: Lost Singer
The newly revealed visual is for the Lost Singer Arc, which is part of Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus. It features Uzuki Hirokawa, the leader of the idol group Sweet Bullet, holding a microphone with a thoughtful expression. The visual’s tagline reads:
“Was this really the place I wanted to come to?”
This hints at a more emotional and introspective story.
What to Expect from the New Anime
The Santa Claus arc adapts Volume 14 of the light novel series by Hajime Kamoshida and Keji Mizoguchi. The story continues from where the previous movies left off and introduces a new character — the mini-skirt Santa — while also showing slightly older versions of the main cast.

Background of the Series
The Rascal Does Not Dream series (also known as Ao Buta) started as a light novel in 2014. The series includes 15 volumes and officially ended in October 2024. The anime adaptation began with the popular Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai TV anime, which covered volumes 1–5, followed by three movies that continued the story.
Fans of the franchise can look forward to more heartfelt moments, emotional storytelling, and supernatural twists when Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus hits screens this July.
