Plot
The spinoff delves into the story of high-school student Takeru, who finds himself captivated by his classmate Marika, the reincarnated wife from the original series, who has undergone significant growth recently.
What's more, this spinoff isn't the only exciting development. "Tsuma, Shōgakusei ni Naru." is also making its leap to the screen with an anime adaptation set to premiere in 2024. Directed by Noriyuki Abe, known for his work on popular series like "Yū Yū Hakusho" and "Bleach," the anime promises to bring the heartfelt story to life. Sawako Hirabayashi, acclaimed for her work on "Wolf Girl & Black Prince" and "Delicious Party♡Precure," is supervising and writing the series scripts, while Narihito Sekikawa handles character design.
For those unfamiliar with the original manga, it revolves around Keisuke Niijima, a man still mourning the loss of his wife, Takae, who passed away a decade ago. However, his world is turned upside down when an elementary school girl arrives at his doorstep claiming to be Takae reincarnated. As Keisuke attempts to reconnect with his lost love, Takae navigates the challenges of childhood with the mind of a mature woman in her 40s.
The manga, which concluded in December 2022 after a successful run, had already inspired a live-action series in 2022. With its unique premise and heartfelt storytelling, "Tsuma, Shōgakusei ni Naru." continues to capture the hearts of fans across various mediums, promising an emotional and unforgettable journey for viewers both old and new.
