New 'One Piece' Episodes Are Coming Sooner Than You Think!
After a long break, One Piece is finally coming back with new episodes! The anime will continue its Egghead Arc, and fans outside Japan just got some exciting news. Crunchyroll has confirmed that new episodes will be released at the same time as in Japan. This means that on April 6, everyone can enjoy One Piece together, no matter where they are.
Why Is the Egghead Arc Important?
This new arc is a big deal because it marks the start of One Piece’s final chapter. The anime has been running for over 25 years, and now it's entering what’s called “The Final Saga.” But don’t worry! Even though the story is slowly heading toward its conclusion, the manga creator Eiichiro Oda has said that he won’t finish One Piece before 2027. Since the anime is behind the manga, it could keep going until 2030 or even longer!
Why Did the Anime Take a Break?
Back in October, fans were told that the anime would take a short break and return in 2025. The reason for the pause wasn’t fully explained, but it likely happened because making One Piece episodes is a tough job. The production team works hard to keep up the high quality, and sometimes they need extra time to avoid burnout.
If you prefer watching One Piece in English dub, there’s another reason to celebrate. Crunchyroll announced that episodes 1109-1122 will be available in English next week! Plus, One Piece Specials 14 to 16 are also getting an English dub release. So, if you’re not a fan of subtitles, you now have more ways to enjoy the series.
What’s Happening with the Live-Action ‘One Piece’ Show?
While the anime’s return is confirmed, the live-action One Piece series on Netflix is still a mystery. The good news? Season 2 has finished filming, and we even got a sneak peek at what’s coming. But since the show uses a lot of special effects, it might take a long time to complete. That means it’s possible we won’t see One Piece Season 2 in 2025. However, Netflix has already started working on Season 3, which shows they are committed to the series.
For now, fans can look forward to April 6, when One Piece finally resumes its journey!
