Netflix Is Dropping One of the Biggest New Anime Seasons This Month!
The battle between streaming platforms for anime fans’ attention is heating up, and Netflix is stepping up its game. As more and more services like Crunchyroll, Hulu, and MAX expand their anime libraries, Netflix is keeping up by adding big titles of its own. One of the most exciting new additions this summer is Mashle: Magic and Muscles Season 2, which hits Netflix on June 9th.
Mashle: Magic and Muscles Season 2
For those new to the show, Mashle is a fun mix of magic and muscle power. It tells the story of Mash Burnedead, a boy born without any magical powers in a world where magic means everything. But Mash isn’t helpless — he has incredible physical strength. So instead of casting spells, he punches his way through magical challenges, pretending to be a powerful wizard to stay in school and survive.
The second season, titled “The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam Arc,” continues Mash’s journey at the Easton Magic Academy. Now, the stakes are higher, and the tests are tougher. Fans can expect more action, comedy, and over-the-top fight scenes that made the first season so popular.
One of the biggest highlights of the new season is its opening theme song, “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” by the music group Creepy Nuts. The catchy song and its fun dance routine have gone viral, with anime fans around the world recreating Mash’s dance moves online. The song has been streamed over 100 million times, showing just how popular Mashle has become.
Creepy Nuts, the artists behind the song, said they were surprised by how well it was received. They didn’t expect the dance to blow up like it did, but they’re happy fans are enjoying it.
While Season 3 of Mashle hasn’t been confirmed yet, there’s a good chance it will happen. The manga, which ended in 2023, still has enough story left for more episodes. If you're not caught up yet, you can watch the first season now on both Netflix and Crunchyroll.
So if you're looking for a mix of laughs, muscles, and magical mayhem, Mashle: Magic and Muscles Season 2 is definitely one to watch this June on Netflix.
