Yuu Morikawa’s comedy manga “Mr. Villain’s Day Off” is finally animating, and the fans are going wild to see the fantastic characters being animated! The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Mr. Villain’s Day Off has unveiled its first full promotional video and a new visual! In addition, the video introduces more members of the cast and crew, along with news of the anime’s scheduled premiere in January 2024. The website has also revealed the artists behind the anime’s theme songs, with Ivudot performing the opening theme and the band GLASGOW handling the ending piece!

The anime series Mr. Villain’s Day Off is set to debut in January 2024 on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, and BS Nippon TV. The anime is directed by Yoshinori Odaka, a famous person known for his works on 2019 BEM, B-Daman CrossFire” and produced by Shinei Animation and Synergy SP. Midori Gotou is known for “Hozuki’s Coolheadedness,” while Tomomi Shimazaki is famous for the characters’ animation of “Elegant Yokai Apartment Life.”
The manga, published in English on Square Enix’s global Manga UP! website, tells the story of an extraterrestrial “General” from an evil organization bent on taking over Earth. He engages in daily battles against Earth’s defenders but unexpectedly finds himself with a day off.
Morikawa initially launched the manga on the Gangan Pixiv website in 2018, with Square Enix releasing the fifth compiled volume on April 21, 2023.
