Katsuhiro Otomo - The Creator of Akira Reveals the Release of an Upcoming Manga!

Fans are well aware of the vintage yet cyberpunk manga/anime “Akira” which is considered to be a landmark, the most influential and iconic in Japanese animation. The creator, Katsuhiro Otomo is a well-known Japanese manga artist, screenwriter, animator, and a film director. He’s known for his best work in the creation of Akira which rewarded him with the Silver Scream Award. 

Now, Katsuhiro Otomo is planning to create another masterpiece manga as recently, he revealed a teaser for his long-anticipated new project on X (Twitter). A snapshot of a whiteboard revealed the character Kikyo, which was previously revealed by Otomo. In a speech bubble, Kiyoko claimed to have dreamt of Otomo-sensei working on a new manga to which he responded, “Kikyo’s prophetic dream will become reality”.
