I Left My A-Rank Party Confirmed for Season 2!
After wrapping up its 24th episode on Sunday, the anime I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths! is officially getting a second season. The announcement came from Bandai Namco Filmworks just as the first season ended.
The anime premiered on January 11 across 30 channels in Japan under NTV’s network and ran for two continuous cours (about six months). It aired late-night at 24:55 JST (which is technically 12:55 a.m. on January 12). Fans around the world were also able to watch the series on Crunchyroll, which streamed both the sub and English dub versions.
Based on the light novel series by Kōsuke Unagi, this anime follows Yuke Feldio, a red mage who gets tired of being treated badly by his arrogant A-rank adventuring party. So, he quits and forms a new team—this time with his three former students, who admire and trust him deeply. Together, they set their sights on conquering the deepest parts of a legendary dungeon. Along the way, Yuke helps them grow stronger and discovers his own hidden potential, too.
The anime was brought to life by BN Pictures under the direction of Katsumi Ono (Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, Beast Saga). The series scripts were handled by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, known for his work on Dropkick on My Devil! and In the Land of Leadale. Character designs were done by Masakazu Yamazaki, with support from other skilled animation directors.
The light novel began publishing in June 2021, and the manga adaptation by artist Yūri also launched the same month in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app. Kodansha USA is currently releasing the manga digitally in English, making the story more accessible to fans outside Japan.
With Season 2 now confirmed, fans can look forward to seeing more dungeon action, character development, and heartwarming teamwork between Yuke and his talented students. No release date has been announced yet, but stay tuned!
