The release date for the Hoshikuzu Telepath anime has been officially confirmed. This anime adaptation of Rasuko Okuma's manga of the same name is set to premiere in Japan on October 9th. The direction of the Hoshikuzu Telepath anime is helmed by Kaori, renowned for their work on Yuyushiki. Natsuko Takahashi oversees the series composition, while Takahiro Sakai is taking on the roles of chief animation director and character designer at Studio Gokumi.
Okuma's manga debuted in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara magazine in May 2019. The fourth compiled volume is scheduled for release in Japan on September 27th.
The story follows Umika, a shy girl who grapples with severe stage fright, which impedes her ability to communicate effectively and form friendships. She has gradually given up on her pursuit of companionship. However, with the arrival of a new transfer student named Yu, everything takes a dramatic turn. Yu is not your typical student; she's an extraterrestrial endowed with the unique power of "Odekopathy," enabling her to understand the emotions of others through forehead contact. This marks the inception of a captivating coming-of-age narrative that combines elements of "yuri" and "space," skillfully crafted by the promising author Rusuko Okuma.
