Latest Final Fantasy VII trailer teases new story and release window
Square Enix debuted a new preview for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second installment in their project to remake Final Fantasy VII, during the Summer Game Fest Livestream. The trailer disclosed that the game is scheduled for an early 2024 launch exclusively on the PlayStation 5. It offered glimpses of gameplay and story-driven cinematic scenes. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come in a package consisting of two discs.
The original Final Fantasy VII Remake game was initially released by Square Enix in April 2020, following a postponement from its intended March 2020 release date. At first, the game was exclusively available on the PlayStation, but it expanded to other platforms starting April 10, 2021. In June 2021, an enhanced version called Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, featuring additional content, was launched on the PlayStation 5. Later, in December 2021, it became accessible on PC via the Epic Games Store, and in June 2022, it was made available on PC through Steam.
