Netflix has unveiled the primary trailer for "Castlevania: Nocturne," a spinoff series derived from Frederator Studios' celebrated animated show, Castlevania. The series is scheduled to debut on September 28, accompanied by a global premiere livestream slated for September 27 at noon EDT on Twitch and Tudum.
This upcoming series will showcase Richter Belmont, a descendant of the original protagonists Sypha and Trevor, alongside Maria Renard. It will be set against the backdrop of France during the tumultuous events of the French Revolution in 1792. Netflix has hinted at the series' capacity to unveil an untold origin story for Richter.
Notably recognized from the Castlevania video game series, Richter and Maria have left their mark, especially in titles like "Castlevania: Rondo of Blood" and "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night."
Heading the series as showrunner is Kevin Kolde, with Clive Bradley credited as its creator and writer. Project 51 Productions takes charge of the series production, assisted by the production services of Powerhouse Animation.
