Call of the Night - Overview
Call of the Night originally aired its first season in July 2022. It quickly gained popularity for its unique blend of romance, supernatural themes, and atmospheric visuals. The anime follows Kō Yamori, a teenager who can’t sleep at night and ends up meeting Nazuna, a vampire who invites him into her nocturnal world. Kō wants to become a vampire himself, but there’s a catch—he has to fall in love with Nazuna first.
The anime is based on the manga by Kotoyama (Dagashi Kashi), which began in 2019 and recently wrapped up in January 2024 with 20 volumes in total.
The first season was directed by Tomoyuki Itamura (Monogatari series) at LIDEN FILMS. Returning staff and music duo Creepy Nuts will once again be involved, promising a familiar vibe for returning fans.
With its new characters, romantic twists, and stylish visuals, Call of the Night Season 2 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated anime releases of the summer.
