Black Clover’s Manga Resumes in 2024
Exciting news for Black Clover fans! The latest update from Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine reveals that Yūki Tabata's beloved manga will keep the magic alive in the upcoming winter issue of Jump Giga, hitting the shelves on December 25.
After bidding farewell to its Shonen Jump chapter in August, the manga found a new home in Jump Giga, with Shueisha releasing four issues each year, one for every season. Tabata, the creative mind behind Black Clover, has been weaving this magical tale since its debut in February 2015, capturing the hearts of readers around the world.
The manga took a planned hiatus in April 2022, giving Tabata the time to gear up for the much-anticipated "final arc" or "final saga." The hiatus lasted three months, and the story picked up its enchanting journey once again in August 2022.
For those following the animated adventures, Black Clover's anime adaptation premiered in Japan back in October 2017, treating fans to 170 episodes that concluded in March 2021. The excitement continued with the release of the Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King anime film on June 16, both in Japan and on Netflix worldwide.
What is Black Clover About?
Black Clover follows the journey of Asta, a determined and spirited young boy born into a world where magic is everything. In this realm, people are blessed with magical abilities, but Asta, to his dismay, is born without any magical power. Despite this apparent setback, Asta dreams of becoming the Wizard King, the most powerful mage in the Clover Kingdom.
Asta's best friend, Yuno, is the complete opposite. Blessed with extraordinary magical talent, Yuno aims to become the Wizard King as well. The story kicks into high gear when the two friends receive their grimoires, magical books that enhance their abilities. Asta is granted a rare five-leaf clover grimoire that houses a powerful anti-magic sword, while Yuno receives a four-leaf clover grimoire, a symbol of great magical potential.
As they embark on their journey to achieve their dreams, Asta and Yuno face various challenges, rivalries, and formidable foes. The Clover Kingdom is not without its share of conflicts, including internal disputes and external threats from powerful adversaries. Along the way, Asta and Yuno join the Magic Knights, an organization tasked with protecting the kingdom from magical threats.
Beyond the pages and screens, Black Clover has expanded its magical universe with video games and even a stage play, showcasing the enduring popularity of this fantastical tale. As we eagerly await the winter issue of Jump Giga, it's clear that the magic of Black Clover is far from fading, promising more spellbinding adventures in the chapters to come.
