All-Works Maid Light Novel Gets TV Anime Adaptation by EMT Squared!
The popular light novel series Heroine? Saint? No, I'm an All-Works Maid (And Proud of It)! is officially getting a TV anime adaptation. The announcement was made through a newly launched website on Wednesday, which also shared a teaser visual, the main cast, and the name of the animation studio—EMT Squared.
Plot Overview
Originally written by Atekichi and illustrated by Yukiko, the story follows Melody, a girl who was once a regular Japanese student but is now reincarnated into a fantasy world. Instead of chasing romance or glory, she dreams of becoming the best maid in the world! Now working for a poor noble family, Melody tackles everything from cleaning and cooking to fixing up old mansions—all while using her magical powers.
The twist? She has no idea that she’s actually the main character in an otome (romance) game and that she’s meant to be the most powerful heroine and saint in the entire story. But Melody isn’t interested in that. For her, work comes first—whether it's brewing tea, fending off monsters, or fixing broken walls.
Two special illustrations celebrating the anime were shared—one by the original illustrator Yukiko, and another by Keiko, who draws the manga adaptation. Both artists expressed their excitement for the anime adaptation through their beautiful artwork.
The main voice cast has also been revealed:
Yume Miyamoto will voice Melody Wave, the determined and magical maid.
Rumi Okubo will play Luciana Rudleberg, another key character in the story.
The anime is being produced by EMT Squared, a studio known for adapting light novels into anime series.
In North America, the All-Works Maid novels and manga are licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment, which also shared the official English description of the story.
The original light novel series began online in 2017 and has been officially published since 2020. The manga followed in 2022. Both the 7th light novel volume and the 6th manga volume will be released this Thursday in Japan.
With a quirky premise, magical action, and a charming lead who just wants to do her job, All-Works Maid promises to be a fun addition to the anime world!
